Putting Your Plan In Place

Come & Say Hi
We understand that it can be difficult to go through your business plans with someone you’ve never met. That’s why we invite our clients to an initial free, informal meeting with our Chartered Financial Planner. It’s a no obligation discussion and a great opportunity for you to get to know the team here at DFP. We’ll listen to your aspirations (and trepidations) and give you an idea of how we may be able to help.

Preparing Your Financial Plan
We’ll prepare your plan once you’re happy with the service options outlined in your initial meeting. Liam will then carry out his analysis, which includes a robust risk assessment of your financial arrangements. We’ll also look into and advise on any products or services you may require such as contractor mortgages or pensions.

We'll Meet Again
Once in place, we’ll invite you to come in and see us again to discuss it in more detail. It’s the ideal opportunity to catch up and to resolve any uncertainties. Liam will take the time to go through your concerns, answering any questions you have. Your self-employed financial plan will provide greater structure for your long-term finances.

Putting Your Plan In Place
With an agreement in place, it’s time to put your financial plan into practice. We’ll take care of the admin for you, dealing with providers on your behalf. Now for the exciting bit. Thanks to your decisions, the financial freedom you’ve aspired to could be waiting around the corner!

Moving Forward
At Danbro Financial Planning, we have a commitment to helping you get to where you want to be. With your agreement, we can also review your plan regularly, to help make sure that you remain on track and in budget. We’ll also give you advice on any unexpected changes to the law, or your personal life and self-employed status. Then, all that’s left for you to do is to sit back and let your money work harder for you.
Do I Need Self-Employed Financial Advice?
If you’re self-employed or working on multiple contracts, it’s essential to have a thorough, well-structured financial plan. It can help clarify your long-term goals by streamlining both your personal and business finances. This will help you establish where you want your company to be and what you need to do to achieve your ambitions.
A Financial Plan Could:
- Paint a detailed picture of your financial position, income status and objectives.
- Provide guidance on any future investments, such as properties, investment bonds, and stocks & shares.
- Discuss what options you have with any spare funds left in your company.
- Help you put together an ’employee style’ benefits package in a cost and tax efficient way.
- Become more tax efficient, without jeopardising your high levels of compliance.
- Help you make contingency plans.
- Allow you to plan for life after work to ensure you have what you need for a comfortable retirement.
“With our industry expertise and market knowledge, we’re in the perfect position to help you make the most of your money.”
Liam Winstanley, Director, Danbro Financial Planning
Contractor Mortgages
Being a contractor or self-employed, means you might not ‘fit the mould’ for a mortgage.
This is often due to the way you get paid and how long you’ve been operating (if you don’t have three years’ accounts).
These factors mean you could be considered a ‘high risk’ borrower. As a result, finding a lender that can accommodate your individual circumstances can be a time-consuming and frustrating process.
Your home maybe repossessed if you do not keep up repayment on your mortgage.
