Fixed Financial Planning Fees
At DFP, we believe financial planning fees should be clear, transparent and fixed. That’s why the fees we charge reflect the time, complexity and expertise involved in the service we provide.
On this page you’ll find fees for:
How We Charge
Unlike other financial advisors, we don’t calculate our fees as a percentage, nor are they generated by the sale of a financial product.
So, you can rest assured that you’re always getting impartial advice without confliction.
Prices will vary depending on the complexities involved in your personal circumstances and the advice we give you. The figures outlined on this page should give you an idea of what to expect, but we’ll provide an exact quote in your free, initial meeting.
Financial Plans
Free, Initial Meeting
All plans include an initial meeting, which is always at our cost. It’s an informal, no obligation chat about you and what you see for your financial future. It’s also a great opportunity for you to get to know the DFP team and how we work. From here, you can decide whether or not you’d like to proceed. Either way, there will be no cost to you.
We calculate our initial fixed fees based on the amount of time we estimate needing to spend on your work and the complexity of that work. Our hourly rates for a Chartered Financial Planner are £225 per hour. VAT may apply.
Whether you’re planning ahead, approaching retirement, or in retirement, each level of plan can be tailored to support your goals.

About This Support Package | This is a reactive service for clients whose needs are less complex. While you might not need regular, scheduled meetings regarding your investment portfolio or financial plan, you may require new work or ad hoc reviews. Unless you stipulate otherwise, with this package we will not keep in regular contact, nor offer ongoing suitability advice. | Our regular service includes: annual planning, suitability review, updated cashflow – as required, portfolio reports, portfolio switches and rebalance, access to DFP’s online personal finance portal, and access to your DFP advisor in between regular financial planning meetings. We’ll also consider your wider financial and tax planning needs. | The wealth service is typically used by higher net worth individuals and families with complex objectives. It includes everything in our intermediate plan, though planning and suitability meetings will be, at least, six monthly. With this service level, we can also accommodate certain bespoke requirements and will be more available to work in partnership with your other professional advisors, such as accountants or solicitors. |
