At DFP, we believe financial planning fees should be clear, transparent and fixed. That’s why the fees we charge reflect the time, complexity and expertise involved in the service we provide.

How We Charge

Unlike other financial advisors, we don’t calculate our fees as a percentage, nor are they generated by the sale of a financial product.

So, you can rest assured that you’re always getting impartial advice without confliction.

Prices will vary depending on the complexities involved in your personal circumstances and the advice we give you. The figures outlined on this page should give you an idea of what to expect, but we’ll provide an exact quote in your free, initial meeting.

Mortgage Advice

Residential Mortgages

Standard

£295

People who...
Are permanent employees
Are self-employed with at least two years’ consistent accounts
Have no unusual property or credit history concerns
 

Intermediate

£495

People who...
Have less than two years in self-employment
Are using Government schemes such as help-to-buy or shared ownership
 
 

High Complexity

£795

People who...
Have a history of adverse credit
Have fewer than 12 months self-employment history.
Are looking at non-standard properties or more than one mortgage
Have unusual salary arrangement

Please note, we may also receive commission from the mortgage lender. This will get disclosed in your mortgage illustration. DFP retain the commission, which is in addition to our chargeable rate.

Buy-to-Let Mortgages

Standard

£495

This is payable upon application for the research and sourcing of a mortgage product.

Intermediate

£795

For someone with adverse credit history or complex personal incomes. It can include non-standard properties or houses of multiple occupation.

High Complexity

£995

With some Buy-to-Let mortgages, ‘Special Purpose Vehicle’ arrangements are in place. This is payable at application for the research and sourcing of appropriate mortgage product.

Please note, we may also receive commission from the Buy-to-Let mortgage lender. This will get disclosed in your mortgage illustration. DFP retain the commission, which is in addition to our chargeable rate.

Standalone Protection Advice

We offer standalone protection advice to provide security for you and your family. This includes both guidance on, and the arrangement of:

  • Life Cover
  • Income Protection
  • Critical Illness Cover

For this service, we charge a fee of £495 on application. We will also retain any commission from the product provider when your plan goes into force.
